Structure
Polarity Configuration
This breakout cable assembly features a robust design with one MPO/APC female connector on the trunk end and two 8-fiber MPC/PC male connectors on the breakout end. The main trunk cable utilizes a 3.0mm round jacket construction for durability and flexibility in tight routing spaces, while the breakout legs employ 2.0mm round cables for individual connection to patch panels or active equipment.
Polarity Mapping
The cable follows a straight-through fiber mapping from the MPO trunk to the dual 8-fiber breakout connectors. Position 1-8 on the MPO connector maps to fibers 1-8 on the first MPC connector, while position 9-16 maps to fibers 1-8 on the second MPC connector.
Connector Orientation
The MPO/APC connector utilizes a female receptacle with alignment pins for mating with male MPO connectors on trunk cables, cassettes, or panel-mounted adapters. The angled physical contact (APC) polish provides enhanced return loss performance, critical for minimizing back-reflections in multimode systems.
